DJxShoots Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 2025

Welcome to DJxShoots. By booking a session, accessing a client gallery, or interacting with our content, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read carefully. DJxShoots is a creative studio founded and led by photographer and visual director DÉJON.

1. Services Provided DJxShoots offers professional photography and videography services including but not limited to lifestyle sessions, branding portraits, content day sessions, behind-the-scenes event coverage, music visuals, recap edits, and delivery of final media through platforms such as Pic-Time, SmugMug, and HoneyBook. Booking is facilitated through Acuity Scheduling and client communication and contracts may be managed through HoneyBook.

2. Booking and Payments All sessions must be booked in advance through our online scheduler at https://djxshoots.as.me/ or by request through HoneyBook. Payment is due at the time of booking via Stripe, PayPal, or approved offline methods (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App). Your session is not confirmed until payment is received.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling To cancel or reschedule, clients must notify DJxShoots at least 48 hours before the session. Cancellations within 48 hours may forfeit your payment unless rescheduled. No-shows are not refundable.

4. Turnaround and Deliverables Edited photo galleries and video content will be delivered within 7–10 business daysunless otherwise stated. Clients may request expedited delivery for an additional rush fee. Delivery is through a private gallery or link via Pic-Time, SmugMug, or HoneyBook, available for a minimum of 30 days. Clients are responsible for downloading and saving all final files during this access window. Re-uploads or extended access may require a reactivation fee and are not guaranteed beyond the original delivery period. Final files are delivered in high-resolution and watermark-free unless otherwise noted.

5. Image and Video Rights and Usage DJxShoots retains full copyright to all images and video unless otherwise agreed. Clients receive personal, non-commercial use rights for social media, websites, and digital portfolios. Commercial use (ads, resale, publication, press kits) requires a separate licensing agreement.

6. Watermarking and Credit Watermarks may appear in preview galleries, watermarked proof downloads, or screen-optimized content. Final delivered files are clean unless otherwise specified. Clients are encouraged to tag @djxshoots on Instagram or credit "Visuals by DÉJON" when reposting.

7. Gallery Access and Privacy Client galleries and media may be protected by access codes or expiring links. DJxShoots is not liable for shared passwords or unauthorized access due to client error. Expired links may require re-activation at the photographer’s discretion.

8. Liability Limitations DJxShoots is not responsible for unforeseeable delays, equipment failure, data corruption, weather issues, or technical problems that prevent delivery. In the rare event of cancellation or session loss due to circumstances beyond control (including but not limited to illness, accident, or force majeure), liability is limited to a full refund or rescheduled session at DJxShoots’ discretion. DJxShoots is not liable for missed expectations regarding subjective preferences in editing, delivery platform performance, or content style. DJxShoots is also not responsible for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur during on-location sessions, including rooftop, nightlife, or event environments. Clients participate at their own risk and are encouraged to act responsibly and within all safety guidelines.

9. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in accordance with California law.

10. Promotional Use and Model Release As part of standard creative practice, DJxShoots may include select photos or video clips from client sessions in a professional portfolio, website, or social media feed to showcase work and inspire future bookings. This is common in the industry and helps promote the creative style and quality clients can expect. We’re thoughtful about the content we share—if a session is private or sensitive, we’ll always get your approval first. If you'd prefer to keep your session entirely private, just let us know at the time of booking.
